Required Education:
• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree
Required Experience and Knowledge:
• Membership in the CO Bar
• Minimum of 2 years of successful law practice
• Broad knowledge of insurance law
• Familiarity with the latest legal developments and related fields
• Process-oriented mindset with organizational skills
• Proficiency with legal technologies
Preferred Experience:
• Experience in insurance defense is strongly preferred
Required Soft Skills:
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Detail-oriented and analytical thinking
• Persuasive oral and written communication
Insurance Defense Trial Attorney Responsibilities:
• Trial Lawyer: Manage the entire legal process, from investigation and discovery to trial prep, court proceedings, and negotiating settlements
• Strategic Partner: Develop legal strategies, research applicable laws, and share findings with claims representatives and clients
• Relationship Building: Maintain good relationships with claims reps and clients and conduct training sessions as needed
• Communication: Develop clear legal opinions and strategies, and draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, and opinions
